Meet Braeden Curwick

My name is Braeden Marcus Curwick. I am a 27 year old elected Shawnee County Democrat PCP in Topeka, and a proud member of Teamster local 696*. I have witnessed many Americans, including my own family, suffer at the hands of our broken, inefficient, greed oriented healthcare system. I have heard many of my fellow Teamsters lose their jobs due to facility shutdowns. I have seen corporations lay off workers, pay unaffordable wages, and price gouge customers while bragging about record profits. I have witnessed “Artificial Intelligence” threaten jobs, increase our electric bills, use up our water resources, ruin teaching, and begin making Personal Computers prohibitively expensive. Worst, I have witnessed the current administration use prejudice to divide & terrorize everyday people.

I’m running for US Congress in Kansas’ 2nd District to answer my generation’s call for younger representation. Representation that puts people over profits. Representation that avoids banana wars. Representation that makes life better, not just stopping it from getting worse.

My Priorities include but are not limited to:

• Raising minimum wage to $25/hour

• Protecting workers’ rights including removing anti-Union laws

• Universal, single-payer, healthcare for all

• Preventing corporate-interest wars such as with Venezuela & Greenland

• Protecting our streets from unnecessary, dangerous, escalatory, un-American shows of force
